The Manufactured Feud Between Ray Allen and Kobe Bryant

Does anyone other than ESPN give a damn about Kobe Bryant's feud with Jesus Shuttlesworth, AKA Ray Allen?

Consider this, if you will. Kobe Bryant's averages this season: 28 points, 5 assists, and 6 boards. Now, look at Ray Allen's numbers: 17 points, 3 assists, and 3 boards. Consider the fact Ray Allen can't defend against the gum disease known as gingivitis these days, how is this even going to be an issue? Ray is done as a main eventer.

Kobe's going to drop 50 per game on Ray's head until Doc puts Paul Pierce or James Posey on Kobe, or unless Doc foolishly decided to let Kobe beat them single-handedly (shutting out the rest of the Lakers won't stop Kobe from scoring 100 points, so you'd best double team him if you can, or clobber him when he gets into the paint). I don't even really like Kobe as a person or a player, but one thing's for sure. He can absolutely brutalize the vaunted Celtic's team defense and you will have to slow him down if you want to have a shot at knocking off the Lakers.

Ray Allen all day fuck kobe! He is the greatest in the game today but that don't stop Ray from Bein the best shooter. I know he found his Playoff touch and this rivalry is going threw his mind regardless of what he say. So he about to come out hard and Kobe gone score, but expect Ray to play his part! Jesus Shuttleworth all day!

Kobe looked average in games one and two. Sure he had a good game three, but it was the home opener in a must win game, if he doesn't show up he's a joke. Ray has been the most consistent Celtic in the finals, and for his age and rebuilt ankles doing a hell of a job on defense. I'll take the "big three" over the Mamba all day.

Clearly, you're eating those words now. Wasn't it Ray Allen who defended Kobe in the first half of game 4...the same half that he only scored 3 points? Never doubt Jesus, he's always there when you need him.

not only was kobe outplayed by ray allen he was outplayed by most of the celtics. how many times did rondo steal the ball from him. allen outshot him at three point range, and kobe'S shooting percentage was in the doghouse. wonder if kobe will asked to be traded this summer
